My Story
In 2023 I had my second daughter, and like most women, I struggled with balancing my hormones back to normal (if they were ever normal). I suffered from adult acne, energy crashes, PMS, emotional outbursts, cramping, severe migraines and even worse, severely weakened teeth! A thought came to mind, how can I claim to be this fitness badass, but not feel completely healthy inside or be in touch with one of my vital signs, my cycle? One thing I would hate to be is a phony. Our cycle is our fifth vital sign. Men, just like women have hormones and a cycle. This is also something I never hear about, A man’s cycle. Why? Our hormones play a huge role in our everyday life and if our endocrine system is not operating correctly, we feel it!
It felt wrong to feel like the inside of my body was not operating at its highest level and I wanted to hack the reasons why and how. Looking healthy and being physically strong is great. But what if you could feel as good as you look on the inside? What if you could reach a potential, you didn’t even know you could reach?
I have been in the fitness community for a long time, especially around the bodybuilding world and let me tell you, I was appalled at how little this world takes into account the quality of foods they put into their bodies and how little they even take into consideration how it affects their hormones. This goes for both women and men. How can these extraordinary people that look so impressive not care about the quality of nourishment they are consuming? The better question I ask myself, is do they even know? Probably not.
I feel as strongly about this as I do watching gym patrons exercise with horrible form. It breaks my heart. And this is how I know that helping guide you is something I am extremely passionate about. If you feel like you’ve been trying your best to navigate health and fitness, it’s not entirely your fault if you're falling short. We live in a time where the foods we buy at the grocery store are either products which is poison for our bodies or foods rich in nourishment. There’s not much of an in between. If a product has a bunch of ingredients or has list of items that you have zero idea what it is, the chances are that it is a product and not something you should be consuming. There’s been little information out there to guide you and even worse, false information.
This is a journey beyond just the physical. Knowledge is power. The more you learn and actually go through the trial and error of what it means to learn, the more you feel powerful in your body, mind and spirit. A strong body is step one. This manifests into a strong mind and these two synchronized manifests into your spirit. I am excited to walk through this journey of nourishment and fitness with you and help serve as a guide to nurture you to the best version you can be inside and out!
